Himayat helped me navigate my complex plan reassessment.

Forced to flee northern Afghanistan, Shahrukh arrived in Australia in 2021. He joined IKEA’s Refugee Workforce Inclusion program, where his creative talents were showcased.
But after a short design stint, he returned to logistics and struggled to find work in his field for three years.
Then Himayat stepped in — offering a paid role and helping him build a path to sustainable creative work. Shahrukh now supports migrant businesses in Canberra, and has finally quit IKEA to pursue his dreams full-time.

Habiba lost her arm in childhood due to war. Although she’s been on the NDIS for years, the funding for her prosthetic went untouched for seven years.
